Hi, I’m Kelly!

Third Story Bloom gets its name from my third-floor apartment, surrounded by a scrappy porch garden that somehow attracts the most determined city wildlife. But it's really about embracing the different chapters of life and letting something beautiful grow from each one.

I've chosen some pretty diverse paths—from running my family bakery business and decorating elaborate wedding cakes to working as a programmer and data analyst. I was always a singer and found my dream job performing in piano bars/dueling pianos across the Midwest, engaging audiences to sing and dance along.

With my days free between gigs, I found myself painting more and more, including my office walls and nature inspired abstract work. After my friend Claire and I created murals for her office, then nursery something clicked. Her friend saw our work and commissioned a prairie-themed nursery, and I realized this could be something bigger.

I specialize in nature-inspired murals that grow with your space—especially nurseries, where there's something magical about creating a room that evolves alongside a child's imagination. My cake decorating background taught me how to bring a clients vision to life with precision and detailed work, while music taught me how to read a room and create experiences that move people.

Whether it's a whimsical jungle scene for a baby's room, botanical art or a golf-themed office that brings the outdoors in, I paint murals that make you smile every time you walk in the room.
